Distinguishing Yourself in a Client-Driven Marketplace
Paul Siker, CPC, principal, Advanced Recruiting TrendsWednesday, 4:15–5:30 p.m.
In client-driven markets, competition for new business is keener than ever, prospective clients are more discerning than ever, and lost business opportunities are more painful than ever. Faced with these challenges, adept recruiters must cultivate, refine, and deploy engagement approaches that allow them to stand out favorably from competitors—while also engendering more business. In short, recruiters must take deliberate steps to optimize client cultivation, marketing, and relationship management activities. In this workshop, Paul Siker will address five focus areas that can help you engage client prospects more effectively, reinforce positive perceptions with existing clients, and ultimately distinguish yourself and your firm not only as a recruiter of choice, but also as a solution of choice. By the end of this workshop, you'll have a host of readily deployable approaches and techniques for building your client base.

Performance Matters: Accountability Systems That Drive Results Without Driving Owners or Managers Crazy
Jenifer Lambert, CPC, president, Elevate Performance Systems LLCWednesday, 4:15–5:30 p.m.
Anytime two or more managers in the staffing industry come together, the conversation invariably turns to two topics: how to increase profits, and how to get better performance out of staff. Profits are easy to measure, but performance is not—yet without strong performance, profit suffers. What's missing in most direct hire firms is a clear and meaningful accountability system. Underperformance goes unnoticed until it becomes unbearable and top performers feel underappreciated and frustrated. The wrong people stay, and the most valuable performers leave.
In this workshop, Lambert will lay out an accountability system for owners and managers that will enable you to get more out of your team without taking more out of you. Lambert will share a template for setting clear expectations with new hires to start the employment relationship right. She'll lay out a roadmap for employee development and accountability meetings that lead to increased performance. And she will provide an understanding of key metrics that drive performance and learn how to use them as an accountability tool. Participants will walk away with the necessary tools to take control of performance, productivity, and, ultimately, profitability.
