Highlights
This free half-day training is designed for staffing companies and host employers in Tennessee to learn how to develop and implement an effective injury and illness prevention program (IIPP) as it relates to dual employer situations.
Experts from the Labor Occupational Health Program with the University of California, Berkeley, will review the Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and expectations for an effective IIPP. Attendees will receive free fact sheets and tools to help implement a plan, and additional resources for technical assistance.
Attendees will learn:
- What their responsibilities are under OSHA regulations
- If the host company or staffing firm is responsible for entering injuries on the OSHA 300 log
- Strategies for communicating with host employers about health and safety issues and responsibilities
- Why temporary workers are at an increased risk of work-related injuries
Registration is free, but space is limited. Snacks will be provided.
Speakers include representatives from the University of California, Berkeley. Council leaders from the ASA Tennessee Network will be available to answer questions about resources in the state.
This event qualifies for 4.0 legal continuing education hours toward maintaining your ASA credential.
