Tim Bruce
Tim Bruce, president, Protingent
Tim Bruce is president of Protingent and has been part of Protingent since the beginning. Already a top-performing staffing account manager at another firm, he helped company founder Donn Harvey clarify and execute his vision of a better tech staffing company. In addition to working with Harvey on company strategy, Bruce trains, mentors, and assists Protingent managers and recruiters. Over the years, he has been responsible for bringing in some of Protingent’s top performers. His unique, tenacious style and attention to detail have earned him lasting relationships with engineers, managers, and high-tech companies. Bruce loves helping Protingent people succeed, finding work for engineers, and going the extra mile for clients.


Brent DeBeaumont
Brent DeBeaumont, wage and hour technical specialist, Washington State Department of Labor and Industries
DeBeaumont is the wage and hour technical specialist with the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. In this role, he provides technical guidance to constituents, state investigators, and other concerned parties regarding compliance with Washington wage payment laws. DeBeaumont has played a critical role in the development of administrative regulations for Washington’s new paid sick leave law. Prior to joining the department, he investigated allegations of noncompliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. DeBeaumont holds a law degree from Seattle University School of Law, and a bachelor of arts degree. in history from Washington State University. He is also a member of the Washington bar association.



Aaron Eastlack
Aaron Eastlack, social media marketing adviser, Haley Marketing Group
Eastlack is a social media marketing adviser at Haley Marketing Group, one of the nation’s largest marketing firms dedicated to servicing the staffing and recruiting industry. As a certified inbound marketing specialist, he works with more than 30 staffing and recruiting companies and consults with them to match their business goals with strategic online marketing plans that include search engine optimization, online reputation management, email campaigns, blogging, and social media marketing. Eastlack is a frequent contributor to Haley Marketing’s educational blog, and is focused on refining integrated digital marketing plans for businesses that will help them best reach their goals.


Toby Malara
Toby Malara, Esq., government affairs counsel, American Staffing Association
Malara manages all staffing-related legislation and regulation on behalf of ASA and represents the industry’s interests before Congress and state legislatures. He provides government relations counsel to the association's affiliated state organizations and regional councils and directs political fundraising activities through the ASA political action committee, StaffingPAC. Malara is a graduate of Georgetown University and received his law degree from Catholic University. He is a member of the Maryland bar association.


Deidra A. Nguyen
Deidra A. Nguyen, counsel, Littler Mendelson PC
Deidra A. Nguyen advises employers of all types and sizes regarding various employment and personnel issues and claims, including noncompetition and nonsolicitation agreements, wages and overtime, unemployment, discrimination and harassment, and disability and accommodation. She helps clients stay current and compliant with an everchanging legal landscape by providing workplace training and counseling, and drafting employee handbooks, policies, and employment agreements. As part of her employment litigation work, Nguyen has represented clients in matters under investigation by the U.S. Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Washington State Human Rights Commission, the Washington Department of Labor and Industries, and various other state and federal employment agencies.

Scott Wintrip, president, Wintrip Consulting Group
Wintrip is the author of High Velocity Hiring: How to Hire Top Talent in an Instant, to be published by McGraw-Hill in April 2017. He's also the president of Wintrip Consulting Group, a global consultancy serving the staffing industry. Wintrip has worked with thousands of staffing firms, helping them generate more than $1.3 billion in growth. For five consecutive years, he has appeared on the Staffing 100 list of most influential leaders in the industry. He’s also a member of the Million Dollar Consultant Hall of Fame and was recently inducted into the Staffing 100 Hall of Fame.
