Lafayette Atkinson
Lafayette Atkinson, district supervisor, Occupational Safety and Health Division, North Carolina Department of Labor

Lafayette is employed in the Eastern Compliance Bureau, in the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Division. He has worked in the Department as a Safety Compliance Officer for 6 years, Health Compliance Officer for 5 years, and as a District Supervisor (OSHA Safety & Health Compliance Manager) enforcing health and safety in the workplace over the past 13 years. In his current position he supervises nine Safety and Health Compliance Officers over an eleven county region centered around the Wilmington, NC field office. He graduated from Eastern Washington University, Cheney, WA, with a degree in Occupational Safety and Health.

Tim Clark
Tim Clark, environmental health and safety controller, Aerotek

Clark came to the staffing industry in 1997 after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, gaining experience as a loss prevention manager at Macy’s, and earning a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice. He is currently the environmental health and safety controller responsible for Aerotek’s health and safety, aviation regulatory compliance, and OSHA/worker safety compliance programs. During his tenure with Aerotek, Clark also has been responsible for the employee screening, security clearance, and workers’ compensation programs. He currently serves on the ASA safety committee and the ASA Safety Standard of Excellence subcommittee.

Susie Dietrich
Susie Dietrich, owner, TOPS Staffing LLC, chairman, American Staffing Association

Dietrich is a principal owner of TOPS Staffing LLC, AllTek Staffing and Resource Group Inc., e-Staff Consulting Group, AccountStaff Inc., Sterling Office Professionals, and TVS Inc. She began the western chapter of the Pennsylvania Staffing Association, an ASA-affiliated chapter, and served as its president for three years. Dietrich also has served on the ASA chapter leadership council and the chapter past presidents committee.

As an executive for two of the largest staffing and recruiting companies, Tom worked with some of the most recognizable and well-respected companies in the world to help optimize their workforce strategy. As a consultant, trainer, and speaker to the staffing and recruiting industry, Tom has helped hundreds of firms create and execute sales and recruiting strategies to grow their business.

Sara Moss
Sara Moss, vice president of staffing best practices, eRecruit

Moss helps staffing firms evaluating, implementing and running erecruit to increase operational efficiency, improve service levels and maximize their return on technology investment. Prior to erecruit, Sara consulted with hundreds of staffing firms while President of The Code Works. For over 10 years, she has been the go-to industry expert for larger staffing firms facing strategic technology decisions, front and back office software selection, custom software development and vendor management software (VMS) integration. Prior to founding The Code Works Inc., Sara consulted to the Fortune 500 across Europe and the U.S. on business process design and reengineering projects with Accenture. Sara holds degrees in electrical engineering and social science.

Brian Remillard
Brian Remillard, senior sales manager, CareerBuilder

Remillard leads a team focused on educating staffing businesses on the everchanging recruitment landscape and developing successful strategies to help them achieve their growth goals. Remillard has held several sales and leadership roles across multiple industries in five years with CareerBuilder, giving him comprehensive knowledge of both candidate behavior and recruitment challenges. His continued commitment to client success has resulted in top performing teams and three President’s Club designations.

Brian Remillard
Patrick Reynolds, senior account executive, Bullhorn

Reynolds partners with enterprise staffing recruitment and consultant firms to evaluate current processes and business goals, implement industry best practices, and deliver best-of-breed technology solutions in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Prior to joining the Bullhorn team in 2015, Reynolds was an account manager with one of the largest IT staffing firms in the U.S., where he worked with Fortune 500 clients across the country.

Linda Sasser
Linda Sasser, president, Impact Performance Group

Sasser is an executive leadership and business consultant for numerous companies. Linda’s enthusiasm for leadership began over 25 years ago as the small business owner of an Express Personnel Services franchise in Austin, Texas. Sasser’s leadership expertise reflects her experiences as both a small business owner and a corporate executive, and she contends she is at her best when working on organizational structure and team leadership development that promotes a replicable growth environment.

Bob Thompson
Bob Thompson, vice president, World Wide Specialty Programs Inc.

Robert Thompson is a vice president at World Wide Specialty Programs with 22 years of staffing industry experience. He started as a principal in a firm focused on market research and analysis of the staffing industry, and World Wide and American International Group were two of his many insurance clients. Thompson sold his firm in 2007 and joined World Wide to run their new business, broker development, and workers’ compensation divisions. He is a skilled manager with experience in marketing, research, analysis, sales, customer and broker relations, underwriting, loss control, and co-authoring a staffing industry risk management manual. Thompson is from New York and has four grown children.

Jill M. White
Jill M. White, attorney, Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice

White represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment disputes, including actions involving discrimination and retaliation claims, leave of absence issues, wage disputes, unemployment claims, and employment agreements and covenants not to compete. This includes claims asserted under the FMLA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, among others. Jill has experience successfully defending lawsuits filed in state and federal courts, as well as in proceedings before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor.
