Any communications concept designed and marketed, or publication issued, since July 1, 2017, is eligible.
The competition is open only to the headquarters of active ASA member staffing companies. Members that own more than one staffing company may submit entries for each company marketed under a separate name that has its own marketing budget and program.

All entries must be received with payment by July 1. The fee is $100 for each entry submitted (e.g., submitting two entries for one category would total $200 in fees or submitting an entry for three categories would total $300 in fees).

Two entries may be submitted per category.
Digital Media- Company blog
- Externally facing company website
- Externally focused company publication (e.g., client newsletter)
- Internally focused company publication (e.g., employee newsletter)
- Mobile application (material presented in a downloadable mobile app, not on a website)
- Social media campaign (on one or more social media platforms)
- Video (best use of video to educate targeted audience or provide information on a company or service)
Print Media- Brochure
- Externally focused company publication (e.g., annual report)
- Internally focused company publication (e.g., employee newsletter)
- Direct mail piece (one-piece promotion)
- Direct mail campaign (multiple-piece promotion)
Marketing Content
- New company identification brand program
- Existing company identification program
- Integrated mixed media campaign (consisting of at least two different communications vehicles with a common message, mission, or theme)
- Tradeshow experience (booth concept design)

Entries will compete in one of four award classes:
- Staffing firm with less than $7.5 million in annual sales
- Staffing firm with $7.5 million–$25 million in annual sales
- Staffing firm with $25 million–$100 million in annual sales
- Staffing firm with more than $100 million in annual sales

Digital Entries

Mobile application – Submit instructions for downloading the app in the campaign URL(s) box on the online form
Social media campaign – Submit URL(s) in the campaign URL(s) box on the online form

Experts in the fields of communications and graphic design will judge the entries on the basis of general appeal and overall quality (including display boards); content and message; originality of approach; statement of objectives; and final results.

Judges will award winning entries in individual classes and categories. Honorable mentions may also be bestowed.
A crystal Genius award will be conferred to the best entry in each class. Winners will be honored during Staffing World 2018, Oct. 16–18, in metro Washington, DC, and will be featured in ASA publications, on the ASA website, and via news media outreach initiatives, as well as available social media channels.
The judges may transfer an entry from the category in which it was entered to a more appropriate category upon their discretion.
Judges may also elect not to issue awards if no entry in an individual category merits recognition, or if no entry in a class division qualifies for the best-entry-in-class honor.
