ASA Staffing Index Continues to Climb

Staffing employment for the week of Sept. 8–14 increased to 102.84, according to the ASA Staffing Index—the highest index value this year. Temporary and contract staffing employment increased 1.68% from the prior week, and 3.25% compared with the same week last year. That same week also will be used in the September monthly employment situation report that will be issued by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on Oct. 3.

A report on the weekly ASA Staffing Index is publicly released every month based on a survey panel of staffing companies curated by ASA.
