ASA Staffing Index Stabilizes in July


ASA Staffing Index Monthly Report, July 2016

Staffing employment for the week of July 11–17 increased to 93.45, according to the ASA Staffing Index. Temporary and contract staffing employment was 3.18% higher than the prior week, which included the Independence Day holiday, and was 0.21% lower than the same week last year.

This week, containing the 12th, will be used in the July monthly employment situation report that will be issued by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on Aug. 5.

The four-week moving average for the ASA Staffing Index has been higher than the comparable period of last year for five consecutive weeks.
