Jason Leverant and Robin Mee Honored for Outstanding Contributions in 2016
The American Staffing Association yesterday honored two staffing industry leaders—Jason Leverant, CSP, CSC, president and chief operating officer of @Work; and Robin Mee, president of Mee Derby & Co.—with 2016 Volunteer of the Year Awards. This new awards program recognizes individuals who have been outstanding volunteer contributors on an ASA committee, section policy council, taskforce, or working group. The awards were conferred at the ASA annual meeting during Staffing World®, the association’s annual convention and expo, in San Diego.
In 2016, Leverant has served as a council leader in the ASA industrial section (sections are members-only industry sector communities), member of the employee safety committee and workers’ compensation committee, and chairman of the Tennessee Council. He is facilitating a panel, “A.I., Robotics, and the Future of the Staffing Industry,” during Staffing World this week. Leverant is immediate past chairman of the industrial section policy council.
Mee is the 2016 chairman of the staffing as a career taskforce, a leader in the ASA search and placement section council, member of the education and certification committee and women in leadership taskforce, and a leader in the Capital Area Council. She is co-presenting an idea lab session, “Develop Your Internal Recruiting Strategy,” during Staffing World.
“ASA is delighted to honor Jason Leverant and Robin Mee with the first Volunteer of the Year Awards,” said Richard Wahlquist, ASA president and chief executive officer. “Through their long-term involvement as ASA volunteers, both Jason and Robin have provided valuable insights and played a key role in advancing the association and the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry.”
