Staffing World 2017 Keynote Presenters Unveiled

The American Staffing Association announced the keynote presenters for Staffing World 2017, the largest, most comprehensive learning and networking event in the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry—Oct. 24‒26 in Chicago. This year’s world-renowned speakers will share their diverse experiences and insights during high-level, dynamic presentations geared to the audience of nearly 2,000 staffing professionals.

Josh Linkner, New York Times bestselling author and two-time Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year created a new, powerful model for leadership and organizational success by throwing out old, commoditized techniques and employing novel practices adapted from hackers. In his opening keynote, “Executing Imagination: Turning Raw Ideas Into Powerful Results,” Linkner will discuss innovative techniques employed by cybercriminals—who he says are some of the most creative people on the planet—that can be used to create business growth. Linkner’s presentation is sponsored by ASA corporate partner World Wide Specialty Programs.

Jonathan Mildenhall, Airbnb chief marketing officer and former Coca Cola chief marketer, will translate lessons learned about using personal, positive customer experiences in novel ways to engage candidates and clients to create long-term relationships and repeat business. During “Work That Matters,” he will inspire convention attendees to challenge the status quo and give their companies’ brands a higher purpose. Mildenhall’s presentation is sponsored by ASA corporate partner Monster.

Mark Schulman, drummer for world-class rock and pop artists, such as P!nk, will use rhythm and storytelling to dispense wisdom about individual talent development and teambuilding. During “Conquering Life’s Stage Fright: Three Steps to Top Performance,” he will reveal how to decode the chemical balance between fear and excitement, and explain how to prepare for presentations, sales calls, or interviews. Schulman’s presentation is sponsored by Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt LLP.

Mick Ebeling, creator of one of Time magazine’s “50 Best Inventions of 2010,” uses technology in his work to expand human possibility and improve society. In his closing keynote presentation, “Making the Industrial Revolution 2.0,” Ebeling will discuss forward-thinking strategies that can help attendees and their companies tap into today’s ubiquitous access to technology, and create innovative processes and solutions for their most pressing challenges.

In addition to the keynote presentations, Staffing World offers a wide array of educational sessions on topics from talent acquisition to artificial intelligence in a variety of learning formats geared toward staffing professionals at any stage of their careers. The convention also offers the staffing industry’s largest expo, and numerous networking opportunities for attendees, including the Grand Finale, featuring Kool & the Gang, one of the most celebrated bands of all time.
