All Are World-Renowned Business Leaders and Best-Selling Authors
The American Staffing Association announced the keynote presenters for Staffing World 2018—the largest, most comprehensive learning and networking event in the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry—Oct. 16‒18 in metro Washington, DC. This year’s convention will feature four impressive keynote presentations led by some of the world’s most-respected business leaders and authors.
Jeremy Gutsche, trendhunter.com chief executive officer and New York Times best-selling author, has used his unique brand of innovative thinking to help companies such as Coca-Cola and Microsoft create new business opportunities. His keynote session, “Adapt and Disrupt: How to Innovate and Capture New Business Opportunities,” will challenge Staffing World attendees to break free from traditional ways of thinking and adopt a new mentality necessary to survive in the business world of the future. Gutsche’s keynote presentation is sponsored by ASA corporate partner World Wide Specialty Programs.
Molly Fletcher, business consultant, author, and former sports agent, mastered the art of negotiation while representing some of the biggest names in sports. Her fearless style and demeanor led to her being hailed the “female Jerry Maguire” by CNN. During her keynote session, “Inspiring Game-Changers: The Winning Strategies of Fearless Negotiators,” Fletcher will draw from her two decades of experience engaging in high-stake negotiations to deliver a blueprint for fearing less and innovating more. Fletcher’s keynote presentation is sponsored by ASA corporate partner Monster.
Anders Sorman-Nilsson, Thinque founder and creative director, has observed that the perfect middle ground of digital and analogue when doing business—or the “Digilogue,” as he has coined it—keeps customers engaged, satisfied, and coming back for more. Sorman-Nilsson will discuss in depth how staffing firms can find this balance and identify what aspects of business should maintain a stronger human feel during his thought-provoking keynote session, “Digilogue: How to Win the Digital Minds and Analogue Hearts of Clients and Talent.” Sorman-Nilsson’s keynote presentation is sponsored by Tannenbaum Helpern Syracuse & Hirschtritt LLP.
Mel Robbins, entrepreneur, best-selling author, business consultant, and human behavior specialist, introduced the concept of the “five-second rule” in her book, The 5-Second Rule: Transform Your Life, Work, and Confidence—which has earned a spot on Amazon’s top 10 most-read list. She has presented the rule to millions of people, from viewers of her TEDx talk to audiences across the globe. In Robbins’s keynote session at Staffing World, “How the Five-Second Rule Can Transform Your Sales Strategies,” she will discuss the rule in the context of staffing and share tactics staffing companies need to influence people and grow. Robbins’s keynote presentation is sponsored by ASA corporate partner World Wide Specialty Programs.
In addition to the keynote presentations, Staffing World will deliver dozens of other educational opportunities, which will be announced soon. The convention’s anticipated nearly 2,000 attendees will be provided with several opportunities for professional networking with regional and national business leaders, including the Grand Finale—sponsored by Essential StaffCARE and World Wide Specialty Programs.
