New Learning Paths and Focus on Emerging Opportunities in the Evolving World of Work
The American Staffing Association announced the enhanced lineup of keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and other educational content for Staffing World 2018—the largest, most comprehensive learning and networking event in the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry, which takes place Oct. 16‒18 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in metro Washington, DC. The convention’s learning opportunities are specifically designed for c-suite executives as well as staffing professionals at all stages of their careers across all industry sectors.
Staffing World will feature more than 60 workshops and sessions to deliver cutting-edge information on future trends and opportunities as well as pressing business topics such as filling talent pipelines, leveraging technology, diversifying services and solutions offerings, ensuring employment law compliance, building stronger teams, enhancing client satisfaction and loyalty, and increasing market share. Attendees can personalize their experience by choosing one of several new learning paths ranging from a deep dive into staffing technology trends to a hands-on exploration of best practices in workplace safety.
ASA will also bring back the Staffing World Tech Park, which debuted in 2017. The Tech Park is a first-of-its-kind hub of technology solutions specific to the staffing industry.
In addition to workshops and deep-dive immersion sessions, this year’s convention will deliver four provocative and inspiring keynote presentations led by business visionaries Jeremy Gutsche, Molly Fletcher, Anders Sorman-Nilsson, and Mel Robbins.
“As labor markets evolve and employers embrace higher degrees of workforce flexibility and agility, new models are emerging for the way that people work and interact with workplaces,” said Richard Wahlquist, ASA president and chief executive officer. “At Staffing World we will identify the strategic opportunities to drive the growth of new and more efficient ways to source and deploy talent that add even more value to job seekers, employees, and clients. Attendees will come away with fresh ideas, information, and strategies to implement to strengthen their businesses.”
By participating in Staffing World, ASA-certified individuals can earn up to 17.25 continuing education hours. Convention sessions will also be submitted to the HR Certification Institute for recertification credit hours.
