Position Title: Content Specialist, Publishing and Marketing


Let your ability to creatively develop content, hone marketing strategies, and analyze email campaigns shine and grow in this multifaceted role as content specialist with our publishing and marketing team. You’ll have the opportunity to play a major role in a wide array of projects that enhance the membership experience for staffing companies as well as recruit new members and event attendees, sponsors, and advertisers to the American Staffing Association—the top staffing industry organization in the U.S. Bring your creativity, analytics skills, messaging prowess, and enthusiasm to learn and grow and we’ll provide a supportive team environment, training, software and hardware, and hand-on learning opportunities to help you succeed in this important role. Main Areas of this Opportunity

  • Create, execute, track, analyze, and report on a wide range of content and marketing initiatives that support offerings such as membership, events, certification, research offerings, and more
  • Organize and manage content between teams and print/digital distribution platforms
  • Write and edit copy for ads, emails, publications, websites, videos, and digital/social media
  • Work with team members to develop and execute marketing campaigns toward association goals
  • Work with team members to create and update the association’s website as needed
  • Compile and distribute reports on web/email analytics, set analytics benchmarks and goals, and strategically communicate results with team members
  • Develop digital content, including video filming and editing, to support marketing strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in digital/email marketing and audience engagement

Recommended Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field, with relevant work or internship experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience in print and/or digital marketing and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of HTML and email marketing software (Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
  • Working knowledge of WordPress, Photoshop, project management software (Basecamp), social media platforms, video production (Final Cut Pro), and analytics platforms desirable
  • Familiarity with Wall Street Journal style a plus
  • Ability to contribute to and maintain a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication
