Larry Marion, CSP, vice president of franchise relations with the  AtWork Group, has been named the 2026 Volunteer of the Year by the American Staffing Association.

The national award recognizes one individual who has made outstanding leadership contributions to ASA through a committee, council, taskforce, or working group. Honorees are nominated by their peers.

In over a decade as an ASA volunteer, Marion has built a reputation as an energetic leader who is genuinely invested in the success of his colleagues and industry. He regularly facilitates member networking calls and worked alongside the ASA office–administrative section council to develop a social media guide.

Now the vice chair of that council, Marion also has served as a volunteer on the professional–managerial, direct hire, and search and placement policy councils.

An ASA Certified Staffing Professional® (CSP), Marion is a steadfast advocate for professional development and encourages his peers to pursue the designation as a mark of commitment to the industry. That same standard of professionalism carries into every aspect of his volunteer work.

“Great volunteers make the people around them better,” said Stephen Dwyer, president and chief executive officer at ASA. “Larry’s service to ASA has made his colleagues and the industry stronger.”

Reflecting on his volunteer experience, Marion shared: “I feel like volunteering with ASA has given me more than what I’ve contributed over the years, and I encourage everyone to get involved. The entire staff with ASA is great to work with but the friendships and partnerships that you develop with colleagues in the industry are invaluable.”

His colleagues and nominators echoed what those who have worked alongside him already know. “Larry is one of those industry leaders who never asks what’s in it for him,” one nominator shared. “He sees an opportunity to make an impact and he gets to work.”

Marion will be recognized during Staffing World, the ASA annual convention and expo, which this year takes place Oct. 12–14 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center near Denver, CO.
