  • This year’s convention takes place Oct. 16–18 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. The address is 201 Waterfront Street Oxon Hill, MD 20745 (National Harbor). Staffing World attendees can make their hotel reservations at the Gaylord National Resort.

  • All who work in the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry can benefit from the industry-specific content presented at Staffing World. Join the largest gathering of business pioneers, thought leaders, and trailblazers as they take part in the industry’s premier learning and networking event, featuring the most comprehensive expo in the business. In addition, ASA-certified professionals can earn up to 17.25 continuing education hours by attending Staffing World.

  • Online registration for Staffing World is quick and easy. Use this link to register now. If you do not wish to register online, you can download and complete a PDF form.   • To qualify for advance registration pricing discounts, registration and payment must be received by Sept. 14. Registrations received without payment will not be processed. Each registrant will receive a separate confirmation by email. If you register one person from your company for the full convention and expo package rate, you can take 10% off each additional full convention and expo package for your team.   • Continental breakfasts and lunches will be served on each full day of the convention. There are also happy hours on Monday, Oct. 15 and Tuesday, Oct. 16, where hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served. For those attending the Staffing World Grand Finale, dinner will be served on the last night of the convention. If you have special dietary needs, please complete that section of the registration form.

  • The recommended attire for the convention is business casual. Session room temperatures can vary, so dressing in layers is recommended for maximum comfort. Cocktail attire is appropriate for some of the evening functions and the Grand Finale.

  • Yes. Name badges should be worn throughout the convention for access to all sessions, meals, and the expo.

    Shortly before the convention takes place, attendees will receive an email with a unique barcode in it. Attendees should bring a printout of that email or have the email available on their smartphones. Attendees will scan their codes in the registration area on site and receive a printed name badge.

  • Yes. You can register on site. Please note that on-site registrations will be accepted on a space-available basis, and checks will not be accepted on site.

  • To attend educational sessions, you must register for the entire Staffing World convention, even if you plan to attend only one day or only parts of the convention. However, there are single-day expo-only packages available, which does not grant access to any educational sessions or workshop recordings.

  • Cancellations must be received in writing to the ASA office by Sept. 14. After that date, no refunds will be awarded. Alternate registrants will be accepted in lieu of cancellations. All cancellations will be assessed a 20% administrative charge. Refunds will not be awarded for no-shows. Send an email to to cancel or transfer your registration, or fax a cancellation notice to 703-253-2053 no later than Sept. 14. Alternate registrants can also be processed on site.

  • No. Attendees must make their hotel reservations separately. ASA has a special block of hotel rooms reserved at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, subject to availability. Learn more.

  • Yes. Convention attendees can tap into free Wi-Fi available throughout the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Details about how to log in will be available on site.

  • Yes. ASA will be active on social media—Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn—throughout Staffing World 2018, and attendees and others are encouraged to join in the conversations and share photos. Use the hashtags #StaffingWorld for the convention and #SWTechPark for the Staffing World Tech Park. Follow ASA on Twitter @StaffingTweets and Instagram @americanstaffingassociation.

  • To cap off the week of learning and networking, Staffing World always ends with a Grand Finale celebration. This year, you’ll see a private concert by multiplatinum-selling pop artist Andy Grammer. Before the concert, guests will enjoy an elegant dinner while entertained by the musical antics of the Capitol Steps, a talented troupe whose satirical performances are inspired by our nation’s government and political leaders.   • The recommended attire for the Grand Finale is elegant cocktail for ladies and black-tie optional for gentlemen. If you are registered for the convention, see more details about the Grand Finale in the Staffing World community on ASA Central.

  • The Staffing World Welcome Mixer takes place Monday, Oct. 15 from 4–6 p.m. The Welcome Mixer at Staffing World is the first networking and social event of the convention. It’s an ideal rallying point for colleagues who have flown in from around the country and a fun event where you’ll enjoy food and drinks. Catch up with long-time colleagues and industry peers, and make connections with new ones. Plus, guests are eligible to win prizes throughout the event.

  • The industry leader event is a special evening of great food and entertainment on the evening of Oct. 17 and is by invitation only.
