Copeland is an entrepreneur and community advocate with more than 20 years of experience supporting strong education and mental health systems in Baltimore, VA, and Washington, DC. He launched Alignstaffing in 1998, a recruiting firm headquartered in Baltimore that coaches and places talent across education, behavioral health, and social services. Given his commitment to underserved communities, he was honored with the Leader in Diversity award by the Baltimore Business Journal in 2020 and was named an Influential Marylander by The Daily Record in 2021. He’s an active board member of Towson University College of Business and Economics and Thread, a nonprofit that engages underperforming high school students. Copeland’s thought-provoking social commentary reflections have been featured in Authority Magazine, Thrive Global, Technical.ly, Medium, and the Washington Business Journal.
