Akers is Tech Lock’s chief security officer, where he leads the consulting division. He joined the company in 2019, bringing more than 20 years of experience as a serial entrepreneur in cybersecurity and managed security services.
Akers previously worked as the chief technology officer for Change Dynamix, where he oversaw the research and development of its behavioral analytics security platform. Additional experience includes leading a team of security consultants at TruArx and growing managed security services at Netrex, which later became part of IBM Global Security Services. Prior to working in the private sector, he served in the U.S. Army in the Military Police Corps Special Investigations Unit.
