Our Staffing World 2024 presenters represent a broad range of perspectives and expertise.

Plummer is vice president and director of diversity, equity, and inclusion at AllianceBernstein. Prior to joining AB in 2022, she was vice president of equity, inclusion, and community at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, a not-for-profit, public-private start-up incubator. At the NEC, Plummer grew the LGBTQ+, Black, woman, and Latino entrepreneur community by more than 400%, and worked to have Feb. 15 officially recognized as Black Innovation and Entrepreneurship Day in Nashville. She also co-founded Twende, a preaccelerator for Black and Latino start-ups, and later led the campaign that made the program the state of Tennessee’s official minority-owned business acceleration program. Prior to that, Plummer taught middle school English and social studies with Teach For America and joined TFA Nashville’s regional team. During her time at TFA, she co-founded the region’s public school leader pathway program, and led the alumni leadership team as the Nashville TFA alumni community grew by 40%. Plummer is the current board chair of Healing in the Margins, a member of the Class IX of Leadership Tennessee Next, and a 2023 Nashville Business Journal 40 under 40. Plummer holds a bachelor of arts degree in English and comparative literature from Columbia University and a master of education degree in instruction from Lipscomb University. She lives in Nashville with her two cats, Sally and Miss J.
