Harris is a 28-year veteran of the staffing and talent solutions industry, and the co-founder and former chief executive officer and chairman of ettain group. As CEO and chairman of ettain group from 1996 to 2019, he led the growth of the company from a Charlotte, NC, start-up IT staffing company to one of the largest national recruitment and IT solutions firms in the U.S., with practice areas in IT, health care IT, and digital creative. Harris led ettain group through two successful private equity transactions to NMS Capital (2014) and A&M Capital (2019). The company was acquired by Manpower (Experis) in October of 2021 for $935 million. Harris is a board member of the American Staffing Association and is the co-founder of two industry peer groups: the Staffing Executive Roundtable and the National Staffing Alliance. He has been an active investor in, and advisor to, talent acquisition technology companies including WorkN (sold to Avionté in 2021), Clearly Rated (sold to private equity in June 2023.), RefAssured (San Francisco—current), and Undergrads (Charlotte, NC—current). He is currently a board member and executive coach to the CEO of Dewinter Group (San José, CA) and Arevo Group (Charlotte, NC).
