Key Knowledge for Staffing Firms: The FMLA and ADA
There are a number of regulations detailing how Family and Medical Leave Act leave is handled for temporary employees placed at a staffing firm’s client sites. Both the staffing firm and client site managers are required to grant eligible employees various leave rights. Additionally, the Americans With Disabilities Act requires employers to provide reasonable accommodations to employees with disabilities, and the number of people and types of disabilities covered by the ADA have been growing.
In this ASA webinar, one of Seyfarth Shaw’s attorneys will discuss employer obligations under the FMLA and ADA, particularly whether the staffing firm or the worksite client bears the responsibility for compliance with those laws for a staffing firm employee placed at the client’s work site.
