Richard WahlquistRichard Wahlquist

President and CEO, American Staffing Association

Wahlquist is the association’s primary spokesman and is responsible for the overall direction and performance of the association. Before joining ASA in 1989 as vice president, administration and government affairs, he led and coordinated government affairs activities on behalf of the staffing industry in all 50 states; Washington, DC; Puerto Rico; and Canada. He speaks regularly before business groups on employment issues and trends and has been a featured lecturer in Europe, South America, South Africa, and Japan. He was recognized by Human Resources Outsourcing Today magazine as one of the “100 Superstars of HR Outsourcing” and by Recruiter magazine as one of the 100 most influential individuals in the staffing and recruiting industry. Wahlquist also serves on the board of directors for the World Employment Confederation and Jobs for America’s Graduates.

Seth SteinSeth Stein

president and chief executive officer, Eastridge Workforce Solutions

In January 2020, Stein was named CEO of Eastridge Workforce Solutions after serving as president of Eastridge Workforce Recruitment since 2013. Stein joined Eastridge as an entry-level sales associate in 1998 and has held virtually every position in its recruitment division, including overseeing two of Eastridge’s largest acquisitions— Abbott Staffing Group in 2009 and Operon Resource Management in 2017. Stein is a graduate of the George Washington University, having earned a bacherlor’s degree in communication, and has a master’s degree in executive leadership from the University of San Diego.

Jason LeverantJason Leverant, TSC, CSP, CHP, CSC

president and chief operating officer, At Work Group

Leverant is president and chief operating officer of the AtWork Group, which helps more than 50,000 people find jobs at more than 1,500 client companies each day. Under his leadership, AtWork has grown 61% in annual revenue over the past two years and has been recognized by a number of organizations for accelerated growth and operational excellence, including ClearlyRated’s Best of Staffing–Client and Best of Staffing–Talent; Staffing Industry Analysts’s U.S. Largest Staffing Firms, U.S. Fastest-Growing Staffing Firms, and U.S. Largest Light-Industrial Staffing Firms; and Franchise Business Review’s Top 100 Franchises for Veterans. Leverant is an active and longtime volunteer and in 2016 was recognized with the ASA Volunteer of the Year Award. He has served on the employee safety and workers’ compensation committees and as chair of the ASA Tennessee Council. Currently, he is actively involved in the association’s staffing tech task force, and he will be chair starting in 2023.

Vice President and Chief Learning Officer, American Staffing Association

With over 20 years in the education and learning and development industries, serving as both a contractor in private sector and a specialist in the public sector, Norwood has gained the experience and knowledge necessary to transform an organization’s training program into a fully functional learning and development program. Norwood is an expert in the latest trends in instructional design and competent in every form of instructional delivery and design. He heads up ASAs IT & Technology Taskforce.

Samira AlimohammadSamira Alimohammad

Vice president and general counsel, Specialist Staffing Group

Alimohammad oversees SSG’s legal and compliance division. Responsible for protecting its assets across its six brands, Samira has helped leaders mitigate exposure amid an impressive profit increase from $181 million in 2014 to over $300 million today. Of Alimohammad’s many contributions, she reconstructed SThree’s contracts department, significantly reducing exposure to contractual risk while building out the compliance department and implementing policies adherent to federal, state, and city laws. As a member of the U.S. management board, Alimohammad has shepherded SSG through the many national, state, and local regulatory changes, continuing to maintain her lead advisory role in North America.
