Highlights

California’s legislature wrapped up its 2022 session without having extended an exemption that kept employment data from being part of the California Consumer Privacy Act’s many requirements. That means that employers subject to the CCPA must be prepared to comply with the many data privacy obligations as they relate to employment and job applicant data starting on Jan. 1, 2023.

In this webinar, attorneys Benjamin Ebbink and Usama Kahf of law firm Fisher Phillips will explain the law, the upcoming requirements, and ways that staffing firms should prepare.

During this webinar, attendees will learn

  • What the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act say and what that means for staffing firms
  • Whether the rights, obligations, and requirements apply to their business and employees
  • The seven steps to compliance with the CCPA and CPRA
  • Best practices regarding compliance and communications with clients
