James Hauser

Director of government affairs, Aya Healthcare

Hauser serves as the director of government affairs for Aya Healthcare, a leader in workforce optimization. In this role, Hauser focuses on enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the health care staffing industry through education and legislative advocacy. He has played a vital role in numerous successful local and statewide election campaigns, in California and across the U.S. Most recently, he was the chief of staff for the City of San Diego, and he has experience working with elected officials in the California state government and the U.S. Congress. Residing in San Diego with his wife, Cassandra, and their dog, Vienna, Hauser contributes to his community as a commissioner on the San Diego Ethics Commission. Additionally, he is a board member of the National Association of Travel Healthcare Organizations and actively participates on the ASA government affairs committee.
