About the ASA Staffing Employment & Sales Survey
The ASA Staffing Employment and Sales Survey is conducted on a quarterly basis and collects information on temporary and contract staffing sales, payroll, and employment. The survey has been conducted since 1992.
The survey is used to estimate total industry employment, sales and payroll, based on a model developed by Standard and Poor’s DRI/McGraw Hill in 1992.
Data for the quarterly survey are gathered by Inavero, a market research firm based in Portland, OR. Data are obtained through a secure web-based questionnaire accessed via a customized invitation email sent to registrants.
Participants receive a quarterly report on the survey results, which includes data based on five broad staffing industry sectors and company size in four annual sales categories.
