InterviewJet today announced the launch of its members-only hiring platform. First introduced in beta in January 2014, InterviewJet is a new model for recruiting that grants select employers limited 72 hour access to request, secure and schedule interviews with sought after technology talent. By bringing elements of a flash sale concept to the talent marketing space, InterviewJet is able to quickly introduce candidates to a large network of decision makers in a more efficient way than traditional staffing firms.
In the 12 months since its beta launch, InterviewJet has been adopted as a hiring platform by 450 active employers, including Venmo, Wildcard, XO Group, Razorfish, Harry’s, Splash and Urban Compass. As members of InterviewJet, these companies have gained exclusive access to the highest-caliber of software engineers (Ruby on Rails, Python, PHP, Java), mobile developers, data scientists, ux/ui designers, and product managers.
“We’re a venture backed company who’s built almost our entire engineering team through InterviewJet. Frankly, it’s the best kept secret in hiring and selfishly I don’t want other companies to find out about it,” said Ben Hindman, founder and CEO, Splash. “It comes down to being introduced to quality candidates, and InterviewJet does that better than anyone out there.”
InterviewJet’s philosophy is built around being hyper-focused on promoting quality candidates with niche skillsets, rather than the more traditional approach of trying to fill specific positions. To date, InterviewJet has secured over 1,000 interviews for candidates through its platform and has already placed more than 30 percent of them into new positions. With today’s launch, InterviewJet is also revealing that is has secured $750K in seed funding from technology recruiting firm Mitchell Martin, which will help InterviewJet to scale its team and to expand geographically.
“InterviewJet has helped us engage directly with the best and brightest tech talent,” said Drew Koloski, Director of Talent Acquisition, XO Group Inc, a family of brands including The Knot, the #1 wedding site and app, and The Bump, a leading pregnancy and parenting site. “Since becoming a member employer we’ve used their platform to screen, interview and hire several new team members to join our mobile-first organization.”
“Today’s launch is a big milestone for the InterviewJet team after testing and refining our platform over the past year,” said Josh Holtzman, co-founder and CEO, InterviewJet. “We believe that today also marks a smaller but significant milestone for the recruiting industry. Now is the time to start integrating more technology into both the job-search and the recruiting experience. While the automation element is important, at InterviewJet we pride ourselves on maintaining that human aspect in certain parts of the process such as vetting and candidate support. We are in a people-focused business and we don’t see that changing anytime soon.”
As of today the InterviewJet platform is now accepting new employer and candidate applications.
