Unstuck Yourself: Transforming Overwhelm Into Action
Corrie LoGiudice

For women and other underrepresented communities in the workforce, it’s common to become so overwhelmed balancing the challenges between your life and career that you feel “stuck,” which can limit advancement opportunities. But it’s actually a positive sign. It’s a cue that something in your current strategy needs to be adapted to your current reality.

In this session, LoGiudice will share the five overwhelm culprits that could be holding back your progress and what to do about them. You’ll leave with a framework you can implement the next time you feel overwhelmed so you can take continued action, no matter your circumstances, and step into the leadership role you are meant to be in.

Attendees will learn

  • The five overwhelm culprits and how they affect one’s life and career
  • The two different scenarios that motivate people into action—either willingly or unwillingly
  • A proven, easy-to-use framework to manage overwhelm and activate extraordinary action fast
  • How to manage any situation that arises, increasing confidence and better positioning them for leadership

Emerging Leaders Breakout Session: Quit the Shoulds: Using the Five-Step Focus Method to Live a Happier, More Inspired Life

Amanda Jefferson

It’s easy to listen to a motivational speaker say things like “Trust yourself!” “Be yourself!” and “Shut out those inner voices!” You feel that warm, inspired conference glow, ready to conquer the world! And then…real life sets in, and the glow starts to fade. This session is all about keeping that glow going.

Together, we’re going to explore specifically what “shoulds” you’re holding onto, how you can begin to let them go, and how you can give that teeny tiny voice (yours!) more airtime.

Attendees will learn

  • Which responsibilities, tasks, etc., are swirling in their heads
  • How to identify which of those things genuinely light you up and which feel like things you “should” like or do
  • Tactics for making a plan for systematically deciding what gets their precious time and attention and what doesn’t, using the five-step focus method
  • Ways to say “no” easily and comfortably to those things that don’t light them up

You’ll have worksheets and templates to take away so that you keep that glow going long after!
