Staffing World: Frequently Asked Questions

  • Nov. 14: Staffing World 2026 Call for Presenters for Breakout sessions and Demo Den opens
    Jan. 31, 2026: Call for Presenters [Breakout sessions] closes
    April 2026: Accepted Breakout session proposals notified
    May 31, 2026: Call for Presenters [Discussion sessions] closes
    August 2026: Accepted discussions notified

  • Sessions are evaluated by ASA staff and a group of volunteers with many years of industry experience. Recommendations for inclusion are based on proposal quality, presenter/facilitator expertise, and suitability for the ASA audience. More presentations are submitted than can be accepted. Final acceptance is also dependent on space availability and proposal uniqueness.

  • Presentations must be tailored for staffing industry professionals, showing evidence of material that will make a significant contribution to the development of attendees’ professional capabilities and knowledge of the field.

    Submissions are evaluated on the following criteria:

    • Complete presentation submission, submitted by the deadline.
    • Session learning level is appropriate for the audience and topic.
    • Identification of three actionable learner outcomes that complete the following the sentence: After participating in this session, attendees will be able to:
    • Session is designed to encourage audience questions, interaction, and participation.
    • Presenter or panelists have in-depth topic knowledge.
    • Content is focused, current, practical, or innovative.
  • Travel coverage varies depending on the nature of the session and the agreement made. In some cases, we offer honorariums, travel reimbursement, or both; in others, participation may be voluntary. If you're invited to speak, the terms will be discussed and confirmed individually.

  • Presentations must be tailored for staffing industry professionals, showing evidence of material that will make a significant contribution to the development of attendees’ professional capabilities and knowledge of the field. Submissions are evaluated on the following criteria:

      • Identification of three actionable learner outcomes that complete the following the sentence: After participating in this session, attendees will be able to:
      • Session is designed to encourage audience questions, interaction, and participation.
      • Presenter or panelists have in-depth topic knowledge.
      • Content is focused, current, practical, or innovative.
  • Webinar proposals are evaluated by ASA Staff based on proposal quality and uniqueness, presenter/facilitator expertise, and suitability for the ASA audience. Scheduling is typically done two or more months in advance and is dependent on availability and currently scheduled webinars.

  • In certain special circumstances ASA is able to provide a nominal honorarium, but typically presenting a webinar is a volunteer and exposure-generating experience. Speakers can make professional connections, promote their services or books, and speakers who are Certified Staffing Professionals receive 2 hours of ASA continuing education credit for their webinar.
