ASA Staffing Index Steady in February

ASA Staffing Index Monthly Report, February 2017

Staffing employment for the week of Feb. 6–12 edged up to 93.85, according to the ASA Staffing Index. Temporary and contract staffing employment was 0.41% higher than the prior week, and was 3.74% higher than the same week last year, which included the Presidents Day weekend.

This week, containing the 12th, will be used in the February monthly employment situation report that will be issued by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on March 10.

The four-week moving average for the ASA Staffing Index increased to 93.45, and was 2.59% higher than the comparable period of last year.
