Fed: Slight to Moderate Economic Growth; Staffing Demand Increased

Share

Economic activity expanded at a slight to moderate pace across all 12 Federal Reserve districts in June, according to the Federal Reserve Board’s latest report on regional economies (known as the “beige book”). Employment across most of the nation maintained a modest to moderate pace of expansion. Labor markets tightened further for both low- and high-skilled positions, and hiring was limited by a shortage of qualified workers across a broad range of industries. Staffing demand increased in most districts.
