Annual Event Celebrates 11 Million Temporary and Contract Workers Nationwide
Temporary and contract employees are set to be celebrated by staffing and recruiting firms across the country during the American Staffing Association’s National Staffing Employee Week, held Sept. 8-15 this year.
National Staffing Employee Week is dedicated to recognizing the contributions of more than 11 million temporary and contract workers in the U.S. labor market. These skilled staffing employees play vital roles across virtually every industry and occupation, with 40% employed in higher-skill roles.
The week will kick off with the official announcement of the National Staffing Employee of the Year and sector-specific All-Stars, and continue with local events and activities across the country held by firms and outreach on social media using the hashtag #NSEW25.
“Temporary and contract work is a way for millions of workers to advance their careers with flexibility and access to new opportunities,” said Richard Wahlquist, chief executive officer at ASA. “Staffing employees are contributing to the prosperity of companies, communities, and the U.S. economy, working in roles from entry level to the executive suite. The staffing industry is thrilled to highlight the important work they do and celebrate them during National Staffing Employee Week this September.”
