Job Gains Mark First Quarter of Growth Since 2022 U.S. staffing companies employed an average of 2.2 million temporary and contract workers per week in the fourth quarter of 2024—up 37,000 jobs from the third quarter of 2024—according to data released today by the American Staffing Association.
