Staffing Jobs Dropped 0.6% from Third Quarter
U.S. staffing companies employed an average of 2.4 million temporary and contract workers per week in the fourth quarter of 2023, down 0.6% or around 14,000 jobs from the third quarter to the fourth quarter. Year-to-year, staffing jobs declined 16.8% from 4Q 2022. Sales totaled $34.4 billion in 4Q 2024, down 16.1% year-to-year but only 0.9% quarter-to-quarter.
