Since the Affordable Care Act’s employer mandate was first enacted Jan. 1, 2015, staffing companies have struggled to balance compliance with the best interests of the temporary workers they serve. Individual coverage health reimbursement arrangements (ICHRAs) have recently been introduced as another ACA compliance option, allowing applicable large employers to meet their employer mandate requirements by reimbursing workers for a portion of the monthly cost of qualified individual medical coverage.
