Highlights

In 2013, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration launched a Temporary Worker Initiative, an enforcement and education effort designed to improve temporary worker safety and well-being. Pursuant to the Initiative, OSHA has released several guidance documents. OSHA regulations and enforcement efforts in warehousing can be unclear, but OSHA compliance is essential. In this webinar, Isabel DeOliveira, regional compliance assistance specialist at OSHA, will help you better understand your responsibilities as they relate to safe working conditions for your temporary workers in warehousing industries.

This OSHA-Temporary Worker Initiative presentation will provide ASA webinar participants with a brief summary of the requirements of the national emphasis program focused on warehouse operations, and employers’ obligations. All employers including staffing agencies have a shared responsibility to prevent injuries and illness at their establishments.

During this webinar, attendees will learn

  • What the responsibilities and requirements are for each category of employer
  • The various tools and methods employers should utilize to address warehouse hazards and prevent injuries and illnesses
  • How and when inspection activities commence
