In these hot summer months, ensuring you are up-to-date on heat related work conditions is essential. In this webinar, Audrey Profitt, senior industrial hygienist with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, will help you better understand your responsibilities as they relate to safe working conditions to prevent heat related injuries, illnesses and deaths for your temporary workers.

The OSHA Heat-Temporary Workers Bulletin presentation will provide ASA webinar participants with a brief summary of the requirements of the Heat NEP and employers obligation.  All employers including Staffing Agencies have a shared responsibility to prevent heat-related injuries and illness at their establishments.

Participants will learn:

  • What the responsibilities and requirements are for each category of employer
  • The various tools/methods employers should utilize to address heat-related hazards and prevent heat-related injuries and illnesses
  • How and when inspection activities commence

Senior Industrial Hygienist, U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration

Audrey has worked for the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration for the past 34 years. She currently works in the Directorate of Enforcement Programs-Office of Health Enforcement as one of the lead people responsible for silica, heat, and noise-related activities. Prior to her assignment to the national office 22 years ago, Audrey worked as a compliance safety and health officer for OSHA’s Cleveland-area office in Ohio.
