Coffee With a Black Guy—Virtual Networking Event
Overview
Tuesday, Feb. 8
3–4 p.m. Eastern time
Highlights
Join the ASA inclusion, diversity, and equity advocacy (IDEA) group for a virtual Coffee With a Black Guy session. The program was so popular at Staffing World® 2021 that CWABG founder James Joyce III has agreed to return for another discussion with staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry leaders.
Coffee With a Black Guy is an innovative social impact movement that seeks to merge the tactile and digital worlds to bring greater understanding, compassion, empathy, and love into the global community. CWABG took the digital world by storm in 2020, with Joyce appearing on several podcasts and convening live virtual conversations for companies, communities, and other groups to build better cross-cultural understanding.
During this session, you will have the opportunity to share stories, have conversations, impart perspectives, or just listen and learn from fellow citizens of the world. Joyce is a proven analytical thinker, speaker, and writer who has a knack for addressing potentially tense situations head on while creating space for shared growth. Be prepared to participate and it may be one of the most meaningful conversations you’ll have.
During this virtual networking session—James Joyce III will discuss:
- How to engage in difficult and uncomfortable conversations
- How diversity in race and perspectives can add value to the workplace
- How to build better cross-cultural understanding
