Taking a Shot: Legal Considerations Regarding Covid-19 Vaccines
Overview
Highlights
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has issued guidance that makes it clear employers can require employees to receive Covid-19 vaccinations under certain circumstances and with certain exceptions. But even where employers can mandate employee vaccinations, they may face other legal issues—such as related state laws, allowable employee objections, and the validity of their medical policies and vaccine administration processes.
During this webinar, attendees will learn
- What EEOC guidance says about mandating vaccines in the workplace
- What considerations relating to the Occupational Safety and Health Act might apply to Covid-19 vaccines and the effect of these vaccines on workplace safety
- How state legislation might prevent employers from mandating employee vaccines
