ASA Volunteer and Industry Leader Co-Founded JFC Staffing Cos.
The American Staffing Association this morning inducted Linda Carchidi, CSP, chief executive officer of JFC Staffing Cos. headquartered in Camp Hill, PA, into the ASA Leadership Hall of Fame. Carchidi was honored during the opening general session at Staffing World® 2018, the association’s annual convention and expo, in the Washington, DC, metro area.
The ASA Leadership Hall of Fame was created in 1985 to recognize outstanding individual contributions made through dedicated service to ASA and the staffing and recruiting industry.
Carchidi co-founded JFC Staffing Cos. with her husband, Jim, in 1975. The staffing agency includes three niche recruiting companies that fill a wide range of temporary, contract, and direct hire positions in various industry sectors. A long-term, dedicated ASA volunteer and industry leader, Carchidi served on the association’s board of directors from 2001‒13, and was chairman in 2008. She also served as chairman of several other ASA committees—including the social responsibility committee, which she helped establish. On the ASA-affiliated chapter level, she was president of the Pennsylvania Staffing Association—East (which became part of the Mid-Atlantic Staffing Association). Carchidi has been honored with the Women of Influence Legacy Award from the Central Penn Business Journal and was named one of Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business by the state’s Department of Community and Economic Development.
“On behalf of the ASA board of directors and membership, I am delighted to welcome Linda Carchidi to the Leadership Hall of Fame,” said Richard Wahlquist, ASA president and chief executive officer. “Linda is a consummate ASA volunteer leader whose legacy, in part, includes cementing social responsibility as one of the association’s key values by creating the ASA Care Awards. She is a tireless supporter of the staffing and recruiting industry who also possesses a deep commitment to education—creating the JFC Career Development Center to train temporary and contract employees in IT skills, and establishing a development board that has raised millions of dollars to fund improvements for her high school alma mater.”
