Share

Terra Staffing Group, a staffing and recruiting firm headquartered in Everett, WA, has earned the Safety Standard of Excellence® mark from the American Staffing Association. The program, developed by ASA and the National Safety Council, promotes industry-wide safety best practices.

By participating in the Safety Standard of Excellence program, staffing companies, their temporary workers, and host employers can build a mutually beneficial relationship to help identify and mitigate workplace hazards and exposures, ensure clear communication between the staffing firm and host employer, and clearly delineate the safety responsibilities of each party.

“ASA congratulates Terra Staffing Group for its commitment to protecting and enhancing temporary worker safety, and for being among the first to earn the Safety Standard of Excellence mark,” said Stephen C. Dwyer, Esq., ASA general counsel. “Terra has tangibly demonstrated to clients, candidates, and employees its commitment to safety best practices.”

“Companies participating in the Safety Standard of Excellence program are to be commended for taking steps to put their companies’ practices under the microscope and seeking to be the best they can be for their temporary workers,” said Amy Harper, Ph.D., NSC director of workplace initiatives and Journey to Safety Excellence. “The commitment to safety demonstrated through Safety Standard of Excellence program participation should speak volumes to the clients with whom these staffing firms do business.”

“Setting high standards around safety is not simply about compliance, it’s about creating positive outcomes and more success stories for Terra Staffing Group clients and employees,” said Greg Lambert, Terra Staffing Group chief executive officer. “The Terra mission is simple—success stories created daily—and the company’s culture of safety is core to delivering on that promise. Terra is proud to earn this recognition and to contribute to the positive impact the staffing industry makes on the workplace.”
