Staffing Jobs Dropped 1.7% from Second Quarter
U.S. staffing companies employed an average of 2.4 million temporary and contract workers per week in the third quarter of 2023, according to data released today by the American Staffing Association.--down about 41,000 workers from the second quarter of 2023. Year-to-year, staffing jobs declined 14.1% in the third quarter of 2023 from the same period in 2022, while temporary and contract staffing sales decreased 14.5% over that same period to total $34.7 billion in the third quarter of 2023.
