Individual coverage health reimbursement arrangements (ICHRAs) are employer-sponsored health insurance plans that comply with the Affordable Care Act and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (Erisa) and replace traditional group major medical plans. Recently approved by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, ICHRA plans allow employers to provide cash payments to employees to reimburse them for a portion of their individual health insurance premium.
