When and where does Staffing World 2020 take place?

This year’s convention takes place Oct. 20–22 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville. The address is 2800 Opryland Dr., Nashville, TN 37214.

Who should attend Staffing World?

All who work in the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry can benefit from the industry-specific content presented at Staffing World. Join the largest gathering of business pioneers, thought leaders, and trailblazers as they take part in the industry’s premier learning and networking event, featuring the most comprehensive expo in the business. In addition, ASA-certified professionals can earn continuing education hours by attending Staffing World.

How do I register for Staffing World?

Are there any registration discounts available for the convention?

After a staffing professional at your company purchases a 3-Day Pass, subsequent staffing professionals at your company receive a 25% discount on 3-Day Pass purchases.

Are preconvention programs included in my all-access pass?

No—with the exception of a Tuesday 1-Day Pass. If you purchase a 1-Day Pass for Tuesday, Oct. 20 only, then your purchase includes a preconvention program for only that day.

Will any meals be served at Staffing World?

Breakfast and lunch will be served on each full day of the convention. There are also happy hours on Tuesday, Oct. 20, and Wednesday, Oct. 21, where hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served. If you have special dietary needs, please complete that section of the registration form.

Will there be free Wi-Fi available at Staffing World 2020?

Yes. Convention attendees can tap into free Wi-Fi available throughout the Gaylord Opryland. Details about how to log in will be available on site.

What is the recommended attire?

The recommended attire for the convention is business casual. Session room temperatures can vary, so dressing in layers is recommended for maximum comfort. Cocktail attire is appropriate for some of the evening functions.

Do attendees have to wear name badges throughout the convention?

Yes. Name badges should be worn throughout the convention for access to all sessions, meals, and the expo.

Shortly before the convention takes place, attendees will receive an email with a unique barcode in it. Attendees should bring a printout of that email or have the email available on their smartphones. Attendees will scan their codes in the registration area on site and receive a printed name badge.

Can I register on site?

Yes, you can register on site. Please note that on-site registrations will be accepted on a space-available basis, and checks will not be accepted on site.

What if I register for this year’s convention but then can’t make it or need to cancel?

Cancellations must be received in writing to the ASA office by Sept. 18. After that date, no refunds will be awarded. Alternate registrants will be accepted in lieu of cancellations. All cancellations will be assessed a 20% administrative charge. Refunds will not be awarded for no-shows. Send an email to to cancel or transfer your registration, or fax a cancellation notice to 703-253-2053 no later than Sept. 18. Alternate registrants can also be processed on site.

Is the hotel fee included in my registration fee?

No. Attendees must make their hotel reservations separately. ASA has a special block of hotel rooms reserved at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, subject to availability. Reserve your room.

Will ASA be active on social media during the convention? Is there a hashtag specific to the event that attendees and others can use and follow?

Yes. ASA will be active on social media—Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn—throughout Staffing World, and attendees and others are encouraged to join in the conversations and share photos. Use the hashtag #StaffingWorld. Follow ASA on Twitter @StaffingTweets and Instagram @americanstaffingassociation.

How many continuing education hours toward the ASA CSP®, TSC℠, CHP®, or CSC® credential are available to Staffing World attendees?

Will there be recordings of the Staffing World sessions available after the event?

Yes—but recordings are only available to those individuals who registered and paid to participate in the educational content at Staffing World (either as a staffing professional or industry supplier). These individuals will receive a link via email that directs them to the online recordings soon after the event.

Can I download slide presentations from the various sessions before or after the convention?

Yes. Attendees will receive a link via email both before and after the convention that directs them to an ASA web page where they can view and download available slide presentations from this year’s Staffing World. The available slide presentations will also be available in the event app. Please note that some slide presentations may not be available until after the event.
