The American Staffing Association is proud to partner with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration on Safe + Sound Week, June 12–18. Safe + Sound Week represents a nationwide effort to raise awareness and understanding of the value of safety and health programs that include management leadership, worker participation, and a systematic approach to finding and fixing hazards in workplaces.
The week is co-sponsored by the National Safety Council, American Industrial Hygiene Association, the American Society of Safety Engineers, and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
During Safe + Sound Week, ASA will showcase its commitment to worker safety and health by communicating to members and other audiences about the importance of workplace safety, and encouraging its member companies to participate in Safe + Sound Week activities.
“Protecting and enhancing temporary worker safety and well-being is very important to ASA and its member companies, and support of Safe + Sound Week underscores this commitment,” said Stephen C. Dwyer, Esq., ASA general counsel. “ASA is proud to serve as a Safe + Sound Week partner, and to collaborate with OSHA and the other sponsors on programs and initiatives to help ensure the safety of the U.S. temporary and contract workforce.”
